LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning has missed several
Senate floor votes in the past week, including one on the release
of the remainder of the $700 billion financial rescue package.
Bunning told The Courier-Journal that he is away fulfilling "a
family commitment." Bunning declined to tell the newspaper where
he was when reached by cell phone.
Bunning said his family takes precedence over the Senate.
The 77-year-old senator said he plans to return to Washington on
