The flash flood threat increases late tonight and into Thursday. Rounds of storms may dump a lot of rain across our region.
Lexington Police charged a man Monday afternoon with the city's latest murder, saying he is the person who beat a woman to death on a horse farm this weekend.
It happened early Saturday morning at the farm off of Muir Station Road.
Police say 31-year-old Gary Stone of Nicholasville broke into the home of Bartner Mastin, who is the manager at Fair Trial Farm.
Police say Stone assaulted Mastin and his sister-in-law, Pauline Mastin. She died from her injuries.
We're told she was staying at the farm because her husband is in the hospital and she didn't want to drive back to her home in Carlisle by herself.
Bartner Mastin is still recovering from his injuries at UK Hospital.
Neighbors tell 27 NEWSFIRST that Stone used to work at the farm.
Stone is charged with murder, burglary and first degree assault. He's being held in the Jessamine County Detention Center on unrelated charges.
