Survivor of Flight 1549 Crash Speaks Out

A Laurel County native saw her family for the first time since the crash. Debbie Ramsey was one of the 155 people on board who survived.

A surveillance camera at the "Intrepid Air and Sea Museum" in New York City captured video of last Thursday's "splash-landing."

The airbus had just taken off from New York's La Guardia Airport when it hit a flock of birds, which knocked out both engines. However, the pilot landed safely on the Hudson River, and rescue boats sprang into action. For Ramsey, she says it was a day she thought she was going to die, and she says she is happy to be alive.
