The change to complete snow continues to work southward across Kentucky. Snow rates will come in around 1" to 2" per hour. Those rates could be even higher under some of the more intense bands.
Another round of winter weather is settling into central Kentucky and that has road crews across the state getting ready.
Salt trucks in Lexington are loaded with salt. Many have been out all day from this morning's snow and will continue to cover the roads into the night, as more snow heads our way. The Department of Transportation in Frankfort is also preparing. It has crews on standby and is watching the approaching winter weather from the state's command center.
Snow, ice and freezing rain are all expected across much of Kentucky Monday night, into Tuesday and even Wednesday. We could see 2-4 inches of snow in the central and northern Kentucky area.
