Sheriff: Man Stabbed In Argument About Cigarettes

A man is killed at an assisted living facility for veterans and police say a resident is responsible.

It happened near Kiddville Road in Montgomery County.

The sheriff says 55-year-old veteran Kenneth Eugene Brasiel and 51-year-old caretaker, Darrell Reedy, got into an argument about cigarettes.

That's when he says Brasiel stabbed Reedy with a pocketknife. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Sheriff Fred Shortridge says Brasiel suffers from a number of mental issues.

Brasiel is charged with murder. It will be up to the courts to evaluate his mental status.
