LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - State officials say two people died in separate winter storm-related incidents in eastern Kentucky, driving Kentucky's death toll from the snow and ice blast to 27.
Justice and Public Safety Cabinet spokeswoman Jennifer Brislin says both deaths were in Johnson County.
Brislin says one person dependent on oxygen lost power to their home. Brislin says the other person died of a heart attack while cutting tree limbs.
Brislin did not have ages or details about the most recent deaths.
The storm that moved in a week ago left 700,000 homes and businesses without power at its peak. State officials reported that number was reduced to about 217,000 by Wednesday morning.
