Montgomery County road crews say they've used 600 tons of salt since Monday trying to keep roads safe, but with a dwindling supply and supplies backed up the county is scurrying to keep up with Mother Nature.

Emergency managers say the current amount of supply they have would only last one more round for the county. County leaders say they have also looked into purchasing additional tons of salt from the state.

The other big concern is also the hundreds still without power, especially with below freezing temperatures.
