Arson Arrest At EKU

A man who works at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond has been arrested, accused of setting a fire on campus.

25-year old James Reynolds works for Aramark, the food service company at EKU.

The fire broke out January 22 on a loading dock at the Powell Student Building, which filled the building with smoke, prompting an evacuation.

The Richmond Register reports Reynolds is charged with arson, wanton endangerment and criminal mischief.

Campus officials say this appears to be an isolated incident and do not suspect Reynolds in connection with several other fires that were set on campus late last year.
