Attorney in Comair Flight 5191 Case will Appear in Court

Today, an attorney representing the family of a Comair flight 5191 victim will head to court. The family has filed a motion to stop construction of a new taxiway at Blue Grass Airport.

A lawyer for the family of Rebecca Adams will appear in Fayette District Court today for a hearing to officially make the request.

This motion is supposed to keep the airport exactly as it was the morning of the crash, in an effort to preserve evidence.

The motion asks the judge to preserve both airport runways, all the signs, paint markings and lights.

He says this will give a team of his own investigators a chance to gather their own evidence.

Airport officials have stopped the construction of a new taxiway that was supposed to begin shortly after the August 27th crash.

The attorney believes the postponed construction could begin as early as October.
