Rain and a mix continues to work into eastern Kentucky as temps drop into the 30S. The next round of mix and snow slides in late this evening into tonight from the northwest.
Chainsaws have been in use across the state this week as people clear away storm debris, but Frankfort police say one man used his chainsaw as a weapon.
Jonathan Wayne Cox is accused of using the power tool to attack another man, cutting him to the bone.
It happened Thursday night on Fields Avenue in Frankfort.
Police say Cox used a chainsaw to gash Billy Hensley. Hensley says he doesn't know Cox.
Hensley was cut from his left nipple to his shoulder blade. He was taken to UK Hospital for treatment and was released on Friday afternoon.
Police say Hensley had a dispute with his neighbor earlier in the day on Thursday in which the neighbor was punched in the face. Police say that neighbor is Cox's brother.
Cox is being held in the Franklin County Regional Jail and is being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
He's charged with first-degree assault.
Police are still investigating and say more charges could be filed.
