Doctors issue a warning to Kentuckians about eating bagged spinach.
Kentucky was the 10th state to report cases of E. coli, linked
by Food and Drug Administration officials to bagged spinach.

The cases included a teenager in Paducah, a child in Jefferson
County and two women in their 50s in Oldham County.
One death occurred in Wisconsin.

The Kentucky Department for Public Health issued an alert Friday
recommending that consumers avoid eating bagged spinach.

27 NEWSFIRST has learned some doctors are awaiting test results to see if the E.coli infection causing dozens of illness across the country could be present in Fayette County.

E. coli causes diarrhea, often with bloody stools. For more information on this outbreak, log onto the Center For Disease Control website.
