Special Ceremony For Kentucky Troops

They served in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait. Saturday night a town honored several Kentucky troops back home from serving overseas.

The ceremony was for any soldier who has come back home to Lawrenceburg in the last few months.Dozens were honored for their service but there was one soldier who was missing.

Lawreceburg native Master Sergeant Clinton Cubert died from injuries he suffered in Iraq. Cubert died at a Lexington hospital in April. He was injured last September in Iraq when his humvee hit an explosive device near Baghdad.

Cubert's wife, Amy, was presented with a ribbon in Clinton's honor from the American Legion. Cubert was the tenth Kentucky Army National Guard Soldier to die in combat in Iraq.

There was a special parade, music and speakers for the other soldiers who came home.
