Police are now saying a massive ammonia leak at the Corbin ice plant may have been the result of a theft.
State police say the valves that released the ammonia were in working order and that there is no reason they should have failed.
Police are looking into who would have opened the valves. There are persons of interest in the case, according to the Corbin News Journal.
The leak, which happened last month, forced the evacuation of hundreds of people from areas around the plant.
