Storm Pounds Southern Kentucky

A strong storm made its way across Kentucky on Wednesday afternoon, but it appears the southern part of the state was hit especially hard.

The mayor of Williamsburg called 27 NEWSFIRST, asking us to announce that people should stay off the roads because of all the downed trees.

We're also hearing reports of damage to the psychology building at the University of the Cumberlands. Part of the building's roof landed on two cars.\

We're being told several other buildings on campus were also damaged.

In Russell County, the roof blew off the Jamestown Café and ended up in the parking lot.
