Many Kentuckians have been cleaning up after ice storms hit just weeks ago, but Mother Nature brought another surprise this week, when strong winds ripped through much of the state.
Homes were damaged left in shambles and debris scattered through yards.
A family is cleaning up the mess a wind storm left behind, after strong winds destroyed their porch and then sent a tree through the roof into the master bedroom. Patricia Conner, the owner of the home, says her bedroom endured water damage and the winds destroyed the railings on her porch, along with the toys out in the yard.
Conner says fortunately no one was at home when the wind storm hit. She says the front wall of her house has shifted and will need to be replaced along with all the patio furniture.
