On Friday, Governor Beshear honored the loss of a Kentucky soldier, killed in Iraq.
Sergeant Joshua Ward was from Scottsville, in Allen County. He was 30-years-old.
Ward died along with 3 other soldiers when an improvised explosive device blew up near their vehicle.
The governor will order that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of Sgt. Ward's funeral. Arrangements are still pending.
