Couple Arrested for Theft After Traffic Stop

A Laurel County couple is arrested for trying to torch an air machine just to steal some coins.

Police say they noticed sparks coming from under the machine at a Redi Mart.

Moments later, they pulled over William Brown and he was charged with DUI. Brown and Deanna Lewis were also charged with theft, criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Police say a four month old baby was sleeping in the back seat next to two large tanks.

Police say the pair didn't get any money from the Redi Mart air machine, but they were found with coins from a Pepsi machine from a nearby car wash.
