A man facing murder charges after a deadly crash says he's not guilty.
Elmer French attended the hearing Wednesday morning in a Madison County courtroom. It didn't last long but the victim's family was on hand.
More than a dozen family members of Jason Isaacs made their presence known at 71-year-old French's court hearing.
He's charged with killing the 35-year-old father of two in a December crash in Berea.
French was originally charged with DUI,but while he recovered from his injuries in the hospital, toxicology results came back and the prosecutor upgraded the charge to murder.
Isaac's family says it's the right charge considering the crime.
Isaacs leaves behind a wife and a son and daughter.
The case has been waived to the grand jury for a decision on whether to move forward with the murder charge.
