Teen Pleads Not Guilty To Killing Father

EDMONTON, Ky. (AP) - An attorney has entered not guilty pleas for a south-central Kentucky teen charged with killing his father and holding a woman hostage.

Metcalfe County Commonwealth's Attorney Karen M. Davis said 17-year-old Robert Joshua Fritz made his first appearance Tuesday in Circuit Court after being charged as an adult. Davis said he was indicted by a grand jury on charges of murder, unlawful imprisonment, tampering with evidence and terroristic threatening.

Fritz is charged with killing 54-year-old Robert H. Fritz in October and holding a woman who was staying with his father hostage.

Police were called to the scene by an Indiana woman who said her mother was being held against her will by her teenage neighbor. The
woman was unharmed.
