A judge denies a request for a new trial from a man, convicted of fleeing the scene of a deadly hit and run crash involving a UK student.
Shannon Houser was back in court Friday morning His attorney claimed prosecutors had not provided enough evidence that Houser tampered with evidence after the accident, so Houser should be given a new trial.
The judge also denied a request to grant Houser work release.
Houser admitted to being behind the wheel of a truck that hit and killed UK student Connie Blount as she crossed the street last April.
