According to Sheriff Pat Melton, a driver called police around 9 a.m. Sunday after seeing a body on the shoulder of the on ramp of 127 to I-64.

The road was shut down for several hours for the death investigation, and police have now confirmed they are investigating the death as a homicide.

The coroner says the victim is Charles Monroe, who's in his early 30's and from Frankfort.
