Search Ends For Lexington Woman

The search for a missing Lexington woman ended happily early Monday.

Jean Palmer, 54, went missing from her home on Alice Drive around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

For hours, police combed the area around Georgetown Road and Newtown Pike.

She was finally found a few blocks away around 2:30 a.m. Monday.

Authorities say Palmer had been off her medication for schizophrenia for several days and wandered out of the house.

She wasn't wearing a coat or shoes.

EMS workers checked Palmer out and she is okay.
