A mother and her baby escaped the flames that destroyed a Winchester home Monday night.
The two were in the basement and saw smoke coming through the door.
They got out through the rear of the home.
When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy flames and smoke shooting from the front of the home.
There is damage to the living and dining rooms and smoke damage throughout the home.
A Clark County firefighter owns the home.
He and his family are now staying with relatives.
