Storms continue to develop across our region. This action will dump additional heavy rains that can cause flash flooding.
Firefighters had a huge battle on their hands Tuesday morning in Lexington.
An abandoned home caught fire on Russell Cave Road. The flames were so intense, they could be seen from the interstate.
In fact, firefighters on the scene tell 27NEWSFIRST a driver on I-64 called 911 and described a huge column of smoke in the area.
When crews arrived, they say the second floor of the old farm house caved in.
They believe the flames may have started on the second floor because that is where the major damage is.
They say it could take some time before investigators find out what caused the fire.
Right now, they say they are trying to track down the property owners.
