Woman Hit, Pistol Whipped By Would-Be Robber

A search is underway for a gunman who attacked a woman at a vending machine company.

Lexington police say the woman was attacked about 11:00 Wednesday morning at the company on Curry Avenue. That's near downtown.

Police say her attacker entered the business through an unlocked back door and started hitting her with his fists and with a gun.

We're told the man noticed a guard dog inside the business and then took off. He didn't get away with any cash.

The woman wasn't hurt badly enough to go to the hospital, but had to be bandaged up because she was bleeding.
