The celebration is underway on the campus of Morehead State University, after the basketball team beat Austin Peay in dramatic fashion Saturday to win the OVC Championship in double overtime.
It's the first time the school will make an appearance in the NCAA tournament since 1984 under Coach Wayne Martin. And it will be there sixth time in school history.
"We are just so excited, there is an energy here I've never felt on campus before," said Carrie Himmelhaver, a freshmen.
Many students traveled to Nashville to watch the championship game, but if they couldn't make the trip, they were watching it on the TV.
"I just screamed out loud, it was such an amazing game," said Ashley Boyd, also a freshmen at Morehead State.
On Monday, the players will join the campus and community members in a celebration at 12:00 p.m. On the first floor of the Adron Doran University Center.
