ALEXANDRIA, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky authorities have canceled an Amber Alert for an infant taken from a foster home in Alexandria by her noncustodial teenage mother.
Police Lt. George Schreiner said that they found 6-month-old Desiree Waddell, who was taken from the northern Kentucky foster home Monday night, with her mother and a friend at an apartment in Boone County.
Police say the baby's mother, 15-year-old Chelsey Waddell, no longer has legal custody of the baby. The two were found along with and a second girl, 15-year-old Summer Brewer.
Police issued the Amber Alert around 8 a.m. Tuesday and canceled it a couple of hours later.
