Car Leaves Scene of Accident, Crashes Again

A Lexington road was shut down for hours Saturday as police investigated a bad crash. It happened on Briar Hill, near Bryan Station.

Witnesses tell us the car that crashed first hit him, then took off. *olice say it appears the 26-year old driver from Mt. Sterling left the scene of the accident in Bourbon county and sped into Fayette county. Witnesses told police the car was going over 100 mph when it hit some railroad tracks, lost control and crashed into a tree.

The driver was transported to UK with life-threatening injuries. Police are not releasing his name.
