Lexington Police are investigating the connection between an assault and a car crash near Blue Grass Airport early Monday morning.
It all started when police received a call from along Dedman Lane around 3:30 a.m.
A woman said two men assaulted her and tried to take her with them in their car.
Moments later, police received another call of a car that ran into a fence on nearby Parkers Mill.
When officers arrived, two men believed to have been in the car had fled.
Police say the two incidents are related.
Police say the woman may have known one of the men.
They have not been found.
