Things are finally back to normal, more than 12 hours after a water main break shut down a major road.
It happened on Monday afternoon on Versailles Road where one outbound lane had to be closed at Parker Mills and Alexandria Drive.
Police asked drivers to avoid the area as crews with Kentucky American Water worked to get it fixed. The water, at some points, flooded the street to almost ankle deep.
Officials with KAW say they are trying to find out just what caused the water to break.
The flooding did cause a crack in the street.
