Lexington Police Make Quick Arrest In Robbery

A man is in jail today after police say he robbed a Lexington restaurant at gunpoint.

Police say 20-year-old Carl A. Turner robbed the Arby's on Plaudit Place in Hamburg early Monday Morning.

Police say they got a frantic 9-1-1 call from a woman who works inside Arby's. She told police she had been robbed at gunpoint by a man with a mask.

As police were pulling up to the scene, they say they saw a white Cadillac leaving the area. Inside were three women and one man. Police pulled the car over on Pleasant Ridge at Bryant Road to see if the people inside had witnessed the crime. They quickly realized Turner was inside, with the bag of cash in full view.

Employees tell police Turner showed up inside the store after they had closed for the night, pulled out a gun and demanded money. The three employees working at the time handed over the cash and watched Turner run away. Police still don't know how Turner got inside the

Luckily nobody was hurt in the robbery. Turner has been charged with robbery.
