There's good news for educators, students and parents in Kentucky. Newly released test results show that Kentucky students excel in reading.
The majority of the nearly 477,000 students who took the reading portion of the Commonwealth Accountability Testing System Exam, in April, were deemed either proficient or distinguished.
The Kentucky Department of Education says the test results are encouraging, especially in the basic core subject areas where students have improved over each of the eight years that the tests have been administered.
