The parents of 13-year-old Keith Walker are suing his Grayson County Middle School basketball coaches. The lawsuit stems from the boy's October death following a team practice.
Walker reportedly collapsed during the practice and was later pronounced dead at an area hospital. The cause of death was ruled as sudden cardiac arrest.
Walker's parents have turned to the same attorney who is working on a similar case involving a teen who died after collapsing at football practice. 15-year-old Max Gilpin collapsed last August during football practice at Pleasure Ridge Park High School. The football coach there has been indicted on a wreckless homicide charge.
Attorney Todd Thompson is handling the civil lawsuits filed by both boys' parents.
