Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy.
Police say Nathaniel Jones was found unresponsive by his mother, Tiea, in their Clearfield home on Barber Road, just outside of Morehead.
The incident happened around 11:00 Monday morning. The toddler was then taken to St. Claire Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
A neighbor, Judy Peake, says it's normally a quiet neighborhood with many children, calling this incident alarming.
Police say they are now investigating what may have happened. An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday.
The coroner says it may be a few weeks before a final conclusion on cause of death can be made because additional testing must be done. He confirmed the baby had been sick the night before.
