The attorney for a man charged with murdering a mother and her two young children wants a judge to decide if he's competent to stand trial.
Robert Drown's attorney made the request in a Carter County courtroom on Friday morning.
Police say Drown killed Jennifer Ison and her two young daughters inside their home back in 2007. Investigators say he then set the home on fire.
The judge says she will not rule on the case on Friday.
Drown's trial is set to start in May.
