There are some tough times ahead. That's the word from UK President Lee Todd.
On Thursday night, Todd sent a long email to students and staff on a school budget that he says may only get tighter, even as student applications are up.
Todd told students tuition for the fall semester will increase five-percent to help bring in more money.
But he also says parking fees for the next year will be frozen, and the salaries of regrets will not go up.
Dr. Todd also reiterated to students that UK is one of the few public universities that has an athletic program that is entirely self -supporting, so Coach Calipari's salary will not be funded with student dollars.
Dr. Todd was at the WKYT studios on Friday for a taping on Kentucky Newsmakers where he addressed the budget concerns.
The full interview will air Saturday morning at eleven on WKYT.
