Former Scott Fireman Pleads Guilty On Gasoline Theft

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (AP) - A central Kentucky firefighter has pleaded guilty to felony theft for using two fire department gas cards to buy fuel for his personal vehicles.

Scott County firefighter 33-year-old Terry Hisle of Lexington accepted a plea agreement Friday in Scott Circuit Court.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports in exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors recommended a one-year sentence. Prosecutors also recommended Hisle pay $6,056 in restitution. The maximum sentence for the charge is five years.

Hisle pleaded not guilty in February to theft of more than $300 after police said he obtained $6,056 worth of gas for his personal vehicles.

He is scheduled for sentencing on May 1.
