LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Former Kentucky first lady Judi Patton has undergone triple-bypass heart surgery after suffering chest pains.
The wife of former Gov. Paul Patton is 68. Her sister Anna Ruth Wakeland told the Lexington Herald-Leader that Patton had never had heart problems before but woke up Saturday morning with chest pains.
Patton is doing well after the surgery Saturday at Pikeville Regional Medical Center.
Patton was Kentucky's first lady from 1995 to 2003.
