Father Accused of Kidnapping Daughter Arraigned In Court

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - The father of a Kentucky toddler who went missing before being found last month in Mexico has pleaded not guilty to federal charges stemming from the case.

The U.S. attorney's office says 30-year-old Miles Thomas Woodside of Frankfort pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of international parental kidnapping and transporting a stolen vehicle across state lines.

Amber Alerts were sounded in three states when 2-year-old Breanna Woodside was not returned to her mother after a visit. The girl was found unharmed days later with her father in Monterrey, Mexico.

A detention hearing is scheduled for Monday to determine whether Woodside will be detained before his trial scheduled for June 9. If convicted, Woodside faces up to 10 years in prison.
