Snow line is beginning to crash into parts of central Kentucky. The rate of snow will pick-up this evening and into the overnight. Some of these snow bands could produce 1"-2" per hour at times.
Police believe a speeding driver caused an injury crash along a heavily traveled Lexington road. It happened just after 5:30am on Leestown Road, at the intersection of Opportunity Drive.
Lexington Police say a truck was making a left-hand turn, when a speeding car headed down Leestown, went underneath the tractor trailer. The impact of the crash ripped the roof off the car.
Investigators say the driver of the semi had a green light to make the turn.
The driver of the car was taken to UK to be treated for injuries. The semi driver was not hurt.
