We now know why the state shutdown a Nicholasville daycare.
The Child Time Learning Center doors have been shut since last week. That's when a two year old reportedly wandered out of the building. The state now says it wasn't the first time.
Documents from the inspector general's office show that on at least two separate occasions, children were found wandering around the daycare. Over the last six months, the state checked into several complaints. Among them: inadequate staffing, medicine bottles without proper labels and the state report shows the bottles were within reach of children, and at one time, no employee was certified to perform CPR.
The state has since revoked the daycare's license. The owner has 20 days to appeal.
