Driver's Body Recovered from Submereged Semi Truck

Authorities have recovered the body of a truck driver whose rig plunged into the Licking River in eastern Kentucky.

The recovery ended a 14-hour search by state and local authorities. Police say swift currents on the river this morning have delayed
rescue efforts for any occupants of the truck, which was submerged
in the river.

The truck went into about 30 feet of water at the Licking River overpass on I-64, and police say it has been leaking diesel fuel.

Police say the diesel fuel that leaked into the water doesn't pose any clear danger to the water supply. Federal and state environmental officials have initiated a cleanup.

The interstate is closed from mile marker 123 to 133. Traffic is
being rerouted at the Bath-Rowan county line.
