An eastern Kentucky woman faces dozens of counts of animal cruelty, after animal control officials find animals living in filth at her home.

Someone in the area complained about the home on Mill Branch on the outskirts of Salyersville in Magoffin County.

Animal control says there were all types of dogs on Manda Fletcher's property, some in the house, some in cages, others running around outside. We're told most were in such bad shape they had to be put down.

Fletcher says she was trying to help them. The seven dogs that were OK we're told were placed in homes. Fletcher's four children were taken by social workers and given to other family members.

Fletcher is charged with 46 counts of animal cruelty.

Mandy is my 1st cousin and Im very proud to say that.She is a very kind hearted person.She loves her children and grandchildren with all her heart.For you nosey rosies out there that don't know her,maybe you should read your Bible and know that God is our judge.And let me remind all of you people again that Mandys children are grown men and were raised very well.We can't help what our children do when they grow up.But that don't mean we love them any less,I personally don't know anything that they have done anyway.None of us are perfect.As parents we pray and put them in God's hands.And I know Mandy was only trying to help the animals.I LOVE YOU MANDY and may God bless you all.

My family has known Mandy for years, she is not a nasty person!! For those of you who do not kno, the news clip didn't even show her house. The house on the hill was her Mother's and the one with all the trash in front of it was her son's. AGAIN, the kids were not hers, or her step children. They were her grandchildren. And as for an animal patrol person in this county!!! That's a JOKE! I have called him at least 6 times to come get a stray and he is yet to show up!!! Guess his county garage job keeps him busy!! Even called the sheriff's office, but I guess the sheriff didn't have a problem with me like he did her son, on whom he tried to serve a warrant on just a little bit before this went down......Things that make you go hummmmm!
