Three Kentucky Firefighters Honored in Memorial

Three names were added to a memorial honoring Kentucky's deceased firefighters, Henry Combs, Charles Mckenzie and Levi Nelson.

Hundreds of people showed up to honor these three men who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Henry James Combs was a volunteer Fire Chief in Breathitt County. He was killed September 4th last year after he wrecked heading to what he thought was a house fire, it turned out to be a false alarm.

Charles Mckenzie was a volunteer firefighter for West Van Lear Fire Department in Johnson County. He was killed November 23rd last year after a water truck fell on top of him while he was assisting in a routine call. He was the departments First Chief.

Levi Nelson was also honored at Tuesday's ceremony, the Danville firefighter lost his life in the line of duty in 1938.
