A dangerous situation on a Lexington road late Thursday night when a car ran into a fuel tanker.
Police say the female driver turned into the path of the tanker on Newtown Pike near New Circle.
The car ended up lodged under the tanker.
Police say one of the tanker's gas lines ruptured, spilling a small amount of fuel.
The driver of the car went to U.K. Hospital, where she is expected to recover.
Police think she may have been intoxicated. Her name hasn't been released.
Newtown Pike was closed for about two hours.
