LEXINGTON, KY -- The employer of a 24-year-old Ukrainian man who died in a vehicle fire has scheduled a memorial service in his honor, reports The Lexington Herald-Leader in its Saturday edition.
The memorial for Oleksandr "Alex" Tysbulko will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, 4250 Iron Works Pike, just off Interstate 75 and across from the Kentucky Horse Park.
Tysbulko, an equine veterinary assistant in the McGee Medicine Center, was found April 5 in a Nissan Pathfinder that had burned in Lincoln County near Crab Orchard. He died of smoke inhalation.
A tree will be planted in Tysbulko's honor, said Mary Hinton, director of human resources for Hagyard.
The memorial service conducted by the Blue Grass Farms Chaplaincy is open to those who knew Tysbulko, reports the Lexington Herald-Leader.
