Central Baptist Hospital Planning for Two Sites

Months after announcing Central Baptist Hospital would move to Hamburg, hospital officials say they'll have two locations.

At one point, the hospital said it would close its Nicholasville Road location after the completion of a hospital in Hamburg.

Back in June, Central Baptist said it hoped to move to Hamburg in six or seven years.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports CEO Bill Sisson told a planning commission subcommittee that the hospital will have two locations.

It's not clear what will happen at each location.

The hospital wants to build a medical campus with separate buildings housing heart and vascular treatments, cancer and research, pediatrics and other services on 129 acres near Hamburg.
