An emotional night at Bath County High School. Friends and family say a final farewell to a 17-year old senior who died.

Jennifer Tripplett wanted to be this years homecoming queen, but that dream and her young life were cut short when she died in house fire last week.
So, the Homecoming court decided to keep her wish alive, granting the crown to Triplett in her death.

Tripplett's father and sister accepted the homecoming honors on her behalf.

The homecoming court released balloons to honor Triplett.
