LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Another rabid skunk has been found in
Lexington.
The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department said the animal tested positive on Tuesday, bringing the number of rabid animals confirmed in the county to eight this year.
So far in 2009, six skunks, a fox and a horse have tested positive for the viral disease.
The number of cases doubles the four confirmed cases of rabies in Lexington in all of 2008.
