Danville Teen Driver Strikes Tree Head-On; Dies From Injuries

Emergency crews were called to Stanford Road just off of the ByPass in Danville after a report of a injury accident involving a car and a tree.

When officials arrived on scene, they found a red Pontiac Grand-Am with severe damage that had struck a tree head-on.

The two people inside the car, 19-year-old Daniel Ryan and a child passenger had to pulled out of the car. The two were then flown to UK Hospital.

The driver, Daniel Ryan died later from his injuries. The passenger is still in critical condition at UK Hospital.
